The sandal itself is incredibly comfortable - fit my wider feet well and provided enough support.
I ended up keeping these because the multi strap spreads the pressure along your foot to make for a very comfortable walking shoe.
Also they're easily adjustable since other straps have velcro to adjust fit in several places.
I can snug up the front straps and keep the ankle a little loose and enjoy them walking, at the beach, and walking in water.The foot pad in front is lightweight and you can feel rocky areas through it so I wouldn't wear them to walk a lot on gravel.
Or I might try another pair with an adjustable back ankle strap.
These have turned out to be an all around comfortable shoe for walking and wearing anywhere since they've the secure back strap.
But because these have a bit of extra heel in the contoured footbed plus the back strap brings your heel forward slightly, had to go up a half size because my feet were sliding too far forward when I walked.
I've very hard to fit size 10.5 AAAA narrow feet, but the adjustable straps on the Tirra made this a winner!

Adjustable three velcro straps. They work well for long walks and get the feet up high enough away from the ground that doesn't end up with a lot of gravel/debris getting in under the feet.
