Pros & Cons
Lodge Color Dutch Oven is a great choice for marinating raw meats, sauteing, braising, simmering and baking. It heats up nicely and holds an incredible amount of heat allowing for even cooking at relatively low temperature settings compared to a normal pot. This oven is easy to clean after use. The enamel is quite good and gives a nice and shiny look. The built quality is good and the heat distribution is even. It is beautiful and fun to cook with at a very affordable price.
Some users complain that the lid does not fit properly on the oven. This loose fitting also causes the oven to rust around the rim. It does cook well, but the exterior enamel can chip after several months of usage.
Overall, this Lodge Color Dutch oven is a quality product and is available at a more reasonable price than some European brands. If you are looking for an effective and affordable way to cook, this Lodge Dutch Oven certainly meets both of those requirements. It comes in 3 different sizes, 3-Quart, 6-Quart and 7.5-Quart and many different colors.
