Review Summary

This is the summary of consumer reviews for Maytag Centennial 3.6 cu ft High-Efficiency Top-Load Washer (White) ENERGY STAR (Model: MVWC400XW). The BoolPool rating for this product is Fair, with 2.90 stars, and the price range is $450-$600.

Maytag Centennial MVWC400XW is a High-Efficiency Top-Load Washer with 3.6 cu ft wash basket with 11 wash cycles. It has impeller wash system which features a wash plate with fins at the bottom of the wash basket. The wash plate continuously moves clothes through the water to clean more gently than a traditional agitator, and takes up less space to maximize capacity. This is a solid well built machine and with its IntelliFill Automatic Water Level Sensor uses very less water to wash clothes.

Some users complain that this machine does not wash and clean clothes reliably. It uses such less water that it does not even wash the clothes and leaves detergent spots. Some users complain that wash cycles are long on this machine and it takes long time to wash. And during those long cycles it may shred towels and clothing. Some users also find this machine little loud and noisy. Lid unlocks during cycles and machine stops and restarts the cycle again. Many uses had to pay for expensive repairs after this machine broke down after only a few months.

Overall, Matyag Centennial MVWC400XW is an EcoConserve Top Load Washer with Low Water Wash technology. This washer gets mixed reviews from users and gets a low rating. Major negative reviews from users revolves around its unreliable washing and cleaning. The machine may wrinkle and spoil clothes during laundry. Not many users like this washer and do not recommend to other buyers.
