Pros & Cons
The Apple MacBook Pro is completely redesigned to set new standards in performance and portability for pro users. One of the highest resolutions for a notebook display with over 4 million pixels (2 million more than an HD television) the 13 inch MacBook Pro with Retina display has such a high pixel density that the human eye cannot distinguish individual pixels from a normal viewing distance. Advanced all-flash architecture and the latest Intel dual-core processors and graphics make everything amazingly fast. It has OS X Mountain Lion, the latest release of the world's most advanced desktop operating system. And the incredibly compact design measures just 0.75 inch thin and weighs only 3.57 pounds. The Mac Book Pro includes two high-speed Thunderbolt ports and two USB 3 ports, enabling you to easily connect to external displays and a wide variety of high performance peripherals, and transfer data at lightning-fast speed. The integrated HD FaceTime Webcam helps easily connect with friends and family and with Apple's FaceTime application, you're not limited to video chats with other Macs but you can now make video calls to iPhone and iPod touch users. You'll also get up to 7 hours of battery life while on the go.
MD212LL/A Configuration - This version of the MacBook Pro with Retina display features a 2.5 GHz Core i5 dual-core processor, 128 GB of flash storage, and 8 GB of installed RAM. Other features include ultra-fast Wireless-N Wi-Fi networking, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, an SDXC card slot, and an HDMI video output.
ME662LL/A Configuration - This version of the MacBook Pro with Retina display features a 2.6 GHz Core i5 dual-core processor, 256 GB of flash storage, and 8 GB of installed RAM. Other features include ultra-fast Wireless-N Wi-Fi networking, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, an SDXC card slot, and an HDMI video output.
One thing which users miss in this model is the built-in optical drive but the ports and easy connectivity to external peripherals overlooks this flaw.
Overall, the Apple 13 inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display is the world’s highest resolution notebook ever. Featuring the world’s most advanced OS, this compact and light weight device is built on a rock-solid UNIX foundation, and it has iCloud built in, so you can access the content you use every day across all your devices. The other advantages include the Multi-touch Mac style feature which makes finding, organizing and sharing files faster. Though expensive, it’s well worth the price for its simple and powerful features and a most desirable device for professionals or Mac lovers.
